Deserving a Better Spin

So you've seen the dark room full of Under Armour-clad bodies pedaling furiously, channeling Lance Armstrong while they cycle to techno-infused music. Or caught a whiff when they exited class, looking as if they had jumped into a pool with their clothes on. And you've thought: No way am I getting within a five-foot radius of indoor cycling class.

Brown, Burch and...Armstrong?

Don't always believe what you read. Contrary to tab reports of late, it appears that designer Tory Burch and cyclist Lance Armstrong aren't kaput. Armstrong was spotted at the designer's spring '08 presentation Tuesday evening. And though they weren't joined at the hip, we think it's unlikely Lance was there looking for bike gear fashion inspiration.Burch's presentation -- held at Christie's Auction House in Rockefeller Plaza -- was one of the final big shows of Fashion Week, followed only by Zac Posen, Just Sweet by Jennifer Lopez and Tommy Hilfiger. Burch turned out another preppy, user-friendly line heavy on modern but classic sportswear featuring her trademark tunics. (And the "TB" logo in various incarnations, natch.) Make-up guru Bobbi Brown debuted her spring '08 make-up colors during the show. (You'll remember we got a sneak peek earlier this week). Model Jessica Hart, the inspiration for Brown's Pink Raspberry line, paraded the square presentation space. -- Alison Maxwell
