I know I'm nearly 30 years late on this, but tough cookies.I have never seen the Star Wars movies, so Boyfriend is introducing them to me, one by one. Last night, we watched The Empire Strikes Back, and we get to the point where Han Solo is put into the carbon freezing chamber. At the last moment, before he descends, Leia says, "I love you." Han responds, "I know."What kind of crap is that? I understand that Han is macho and tough and headstrong and blah blah blah, but so is Leia. (Well, minus the macho part.) She puts herself out there -- in front of Darth Vader, no less -- and Han doesn't do it too? That is unacceptable.*I told Boyfriend if he'd have done that with me, I would not have rescued him.Anyone willing to try to defend him? Anyone have that happen to him in real life?
